Several factors may either increase or decrease the total fee for services rendered, as follows:

  • Building type, size and complexity
  • Procurement method: open or select bidding, sequential tendering (Fast-Track), multiple (versus single) construction contracts, standard forms of construction contract (CCDC/CCA)
  • Project delivery type: stipulate price (design-bid-build), construction management, Turnkey, public- private partnerships (P3)

I will provide a project-specific fee quotation for every enquiry based on the size and complexity of the project, the project delivery type, the procurement route, and the programme.

The fee estimate may be based on an hourly rate with an agreed maximum, a rate per architectural spec section, a percentage of the total estimated construction cost, or a lump sum, as appropriate to the project.
